The British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button said he might quit the championship after the end of this season.

On August 24, after a long break, the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix was held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo took his second straight victory of the season. However, the most highly publicised event was the conflict between two Mercedes drivers, which happened in the beginning of the race.

Even though Nico Rosberg was the pole-sitter, Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo won the Hungarian GP and only one of Mercedes drivers could climb the podium this time.

Bernie Ecclestone has decided that the last couple of Formula 1 Grand Prix were very eventful, dynamic, and unpredictable. It means that one should leave the next year’s regulations alone and take a few new entries off the list together with that.

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic Azad Rahimov and Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone have signed a contract to run the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The race will be held in 2016.

Fans had 48 hours to purchase a discount ticket for Formula 1 Grand Prix in Germany. Germany football team were able to offer a €77 discount by battering Brazil mercilessly in the World Cup semi-final match.

Kimi Räikkönen’s stock of patience has been exhausted. The pilot decided to retire from Formula 1 when his deal with Ferrari runs out. Expectations don’t meet reality sometimes. Kimi Räikkönen has announced his decision: “Until my contract is finished, and then I will probably stop. That is what I think is going to happen”.

A whole pile of documents with new Formula 1 regulations has been marked as “Approved”. Not all suggestions made by participants and organisers were ratified by the FIA World Motor Sport Council. Overall, FIA approved 18 proposals.

Here comes a new twist in the history of the 2014 Formula 1 season — Red Bull’s driver Daniel Ricciardo claimed victory in the Canadian Grand Prix. Eight drivers did not get a chance to see the chequered flag with Daniil Kvyat and Lewis Hamilton among them.

In April FIA approved an application for participation in Formula 1 filed by the new American team Haas Racing. However, its debut was delayed till 2016. Big changes are coming up, as it will be the first American team in Formula 1 since 1976. The only obstacle is that the team would need more time to build a race car than expected. As reported by Auto Motor und Sport, team owner Gene Haas is going to start recruiting as soon as there is some certainty regarding the engine supplier.

For the reason that during the qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix drivers were not able to complete the finish lap due to Nico Rosberg’s mistake and crash, there might come some changes in the regulations.

New Total racing fuel will help to increase the power of Renault F1 engines. It was tested by the Red Bull engineers and adapted for F1 motor. The new fuel will be available for Monaco Grand Prix already.

The problem of Formula’s weak voice has not been solved yet. But it doesn’t mean that they are not trying to find a solution. A special modified tailpipe intended to increase the car’s noise level has been used during the tests in Barcelona. The teams called this device a ‘megaphone’.

Once upon a time, the head of Mercedes team promised Hamilton’s mom that everything was going to be just great… He was definitely not lying about this, as this season Lewis has already clinched fourth victory in a row! Meanwhile, Rosberg is getting closer, while Daniil Kvyat was only 14th to cross the finish line this time.
