New Total racing fuel will help to increase the power of Renault F1 engines. It was tested by the Red Bull engineers and adapted for F1 motor. The new fuel will be available for Monaco Grand Prix already.
“We will beat Mercedes if we reduce at least 50% of existing power gap” said Chritian Horner, head of Red Bull racing team. Now “Silver Arrows” engines are 40–60 hp more powerful and 20 horsepower are made by Petronas racing fuel used by Mercedes team.
Preliminary information after Red Bull tests in Barcelona says that new fuel from Total will give 12hp or more increase to Renault F1 engines.
