On October 10–20th, the first Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held in Sochi. Tickets at the price of 5,000 — 200,000 RUB (€105 — 4,200) went on sale on May 30th.
Advance booking was available, so there are already proud owners of the tickets. The total seating capacity of the stands is 46,000 people but most probably the organisers will have to come up with a solution on how to increase it. Around 100,000 people are expected to visit the race. Well, at least this number was mentioned during the press conference dedicated to the launch of ticket sale. Regardless of the ticket price, the audience will be able to visit the pit lane and walk along the boxes to look at the work of mechanics before the beginning of the weekend.
The international F1 consultant Richard Cregan was also very enthusiastic at the press conference: “It’s a great day. The entire project becomes real as soon as ticket sale has been launched. We are all looking forward to this Grand Prix and I am sure it has a promising future”.
