An almost forgotten in the world of motor sports, Rodríguez Brothers Racetrack, is located on the north-eastern side of Mexico City with an elevation of 2,285 m above sea level. Thanks to the efforts of the Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, the planet’s wealthiest person, Bernie Ecclestone confirmed the return of the Mexican Grand Prix to the 2015 World Championship calendar: “The question with Mexico has been solved”.

The circuit, in its present configuration, is 4,421 m long. The contract has been signed for five years and the race will be held next autumn. By the way, the annual fee paid by the promoters to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix is around $30 million.

As a reminder, it was Carlos Slim, who bankrolled Force India drivers Sergio Pérez and Esteban Gutiérrez.
