Fans had 48 hours to purchase a discount ticket for Formula 1 Grand Prix in Germany. Germany football team were able to offer a €77 discount by battering Brazil mercilessly in the World Cup semi-final match.
Even if you feel pity for the unbelievable defeat of Brazil in the match with Germany, one should be grateful for the bonus they have provided to Formula 1 fans. Even though this discount has many hidden pitfalls, it still means taking off €77 from the ticket price.
In order not to see empty viewing stands in Hockenheim on July 20th, the organisers made an announcement before the football match stating that each goal would mean an 11-euro discount. Overall, seven goals were scored. The discount is applicable to expensive tickets only (from $245 to 515).
Germany team have one more match ahead, meaning that those who were not able to take an advantage of this rather pleasant bonus should still keep their fingers crossed and support Germany, which might take them to the viewing stands of Formula 1 Grand Prix, as absurd as it sounds. I wish we could have a discount for the Grand Prix in Sochi provided by Russia football team but alas!
