On October 7th, 2014, Nissan GT-R R35 customised at the AMS tuning studio with the help of their flagship Alpha Omega tuning package set a new world record for Nissan GT-R R35 — ¼ mile in 7.700 sec at the speed of 300 km/h when crossing the finish line! The tuner claims the uprated engine to deliver 2,000 hp and there is no reason to doubt that as the car sprints to 300 km/h in less than 8 seconds! Apart from that, the car tuned by AMS has also set a new speed record when crossing the finish line of a quarter mile distance — 306 km/h, although not during a record-setting attempt.

Fans of the Nissan GT-R R35 know pretty well that the first «seven-second» GT-R R35 had been customised by the overseas tuning studio AMS. The car is dubbed the Alpha Omega and as reported by the representatives of the studio it is used to test all the innovations developed by AMS. The previous world record set by the Alpha Omega was 7.98 seconds with the speed of 300 km/h when crossing the finish line.

Last weekend, the fastest Nissan GT-R in Europe, the holder of a 1/4-mile record, set Europe's new record — 8.295 sec topping out at 275 km/h!

A few days ago, Nissan GT-R R35 customised at the ETS tuning studio (Extreme Turbo Systems) set another world record among R35 models — 7.80 seconds with the speed of 293.6 km/h when crossing the finish line!

Representatives of the German car magazine AutoBild published the results of interesting performance tests of the upgraded German sports coupés.

Journalists from the AutoBild magazine conducted performance tests of the German quad — Audi S3, BMW M235i, Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG and VW Golf R took part in acceleration and deceleration, flexibility and Sachsenring lap tests.

Another test of top German business class sedans was performed by Auto, Motor und Sport magazine. The subject of test is the famous German trio — Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. They measured their acceleration, braking and slalom. In terms of acceleration from stop, BMW loses to its competitors due to rear-wheel drive and even the lowest weight does not give it any advantage up to 200 km/h. The measurements show that only after 200 km/h the gap starts getting smaller but M5 does not have any chances on ¼ mile distance on civil asphalt. Mercedes suddenly turned out to be the fastest in slalom. It’s very difficult to find out which car was the best as all three of them have their key advantages in different areas but all-wheel drive gives a definite edge from the start which is really difficult to win back.
