A few days ago, Nissan GT-R R35 customised at the ETS tuning studio (Extreme Turbo Systems) set another world record among R35 models — 7.80 seconds with the speed of 293.6 km/h when crossing the finish line! So far, only a few Nissan GT-Rs R35 were able to cover the quartermile distance in less than 8 seconds. The previous world record also belongs to this Nissan GT-R: 7.81 sec with the speed of 294.5 km/h. The new result is just 0.01 seconds better but the fact remains — the new world record has been set. As a reminder, the first Nissan GT-R R35 to cover the quartermile distance in less than 8 seconds was the Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha Omega — 7.98 seconds at 300 km/h. The AMS tuning studio reduced the weight of the car with the help of carbon fibre elements, removing some of interior details, etc. The ETS GT-R in its turn has not gone through any weight-reduction procedures; it has just been fitted with light racing seats. This advantage has actually been brought to nought by fitting the vehicle with a roll cage.
