On August 14, Land Rover will reveal the most powerful SUV in its history, the all-new Range Rover Sport SVR.
The SUV is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine delivering 550 hp and 680 Nm, coupled to an eight-speed automatic. Transmission adapts to driver behaviour, monitors lateral cornering forces and acceleration and brake inputs.
All-wheel drive system has been updated. Up to 100 percent of torque can be channelled to either front or rear axle. The SUV is fitted with an active exhaust featuring electronically controlled valves that optimize sound quality.
The premiere hits 0–100km/h in 4.5 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited at 260 km/h. The SUV produced a Nürburgring lap time of 8 minutes 14 seconds, but apparently, it did not include the Grand Prix section. Nevertheless, it left its mark as the fastest SUV around the Nordschleife.
The all-new SUV has been priced at €120,000.
