Acura Company will perform at the traditional annual race on the mountain Pikes Peak prototype supercar NSX, which is called SH-AWD Concept, equipped with electric propulsion.
For information about the technical characteristics of the concept car have not been disclosed. We only know that the supercar is powered by four electric motors (one for each wheel). The publication Car and Driver reported that the total capacity is about 600 hp
Piloting the prototype will be the driver of the Japanese Super GT series Tetsuya Yamano.
The race will be attended by the NSX supercar and two, which will be under the hood installation, consisting of petrol «turboshesterki» aggregated with 9-speed gearbox with two clutches and three electric motors.
The first car will perform in the Time Attack 1. It will differ from serial counterparts reduced weight and a racing exhaust system. The second — in Time Attack 2, with its more modest changes (only security required for racing).
These two NSX will fly employees Acura — brothers James and Nick Robinson.
