1,300 Lexus GS250 and GS350 cars will be recalled on the territory of Russia due to brake issues.
“The brake pedal assembly in the subject vehicles contains a brake pedal load sensing switch which allows the brake system to detect brake pedal force application by the driver. Due to a manufacturing error, there is a possibility that the switch could improperly cause the brake system to activate without driver input while driving and without activating the rear brake lights”, was said on the official Lexus website. In other words, it might lead not only to a brake system warning light coming on but could result in unexpected deceleration.
This issue concerns 750 units of Lexus GS350 and 615 units of Lexus GS250 produced from August 2012 to April 2014. The “lucky men” who own a “decelerating” car should expect a call from a representative of a dealer. They will replace the brake pedal free of charge and wish good luck on the roads.
