The luxury company Bentley decided to take a leap in the dark to increase their customer value with the help of the new “affordable” supercar.
As reported by Car&Driver, the company considers building a low-budget coupé, which should find its place in Bentley’s lineup near the Continental GT but one step lower. In this case, Bentley will be able to pit against the Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, and McLaren P13. In order not to lose any time, Bentley plan to launch production of the “inexpensive” model in 2015. As a “junior” model, it will be fitted with an eight-cylinder engine; however, it is still an open question how to reduce its price leaving the car luxurious.
Perhaps, the company needs a “low-budget” car in order to balance the price range, as right now Bentley are keeping the course at unique cars which are by no means “inexpensive” and are aimed at true connoisseurs.
