British-based company Bristol Cars was going to reveal its luxurious hybrid sedan at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. However, something went wrong.
Bristol Cars started developing their hybrid car in 2011. It was claimed to be as comfortable as a Rolls-Royce or Bentley. It will be fitted with four electric motors, while its battery pack will be mounted to the bottom of the car. A 3-cylinder combustion engine intended to charge the battery will be located in the front part. The car’s top speed will be around 320 km/h. Its price is expected to start around €300,000.
Unfortunately, the company was facing financial problems and it was close to going bankrupt. However, things have straightened out as it has been bought out by a Swiss company Kamkorp Autocraft. So now, we just have to wait for an official debut of a car comparable in comfort with Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
