New Scuderia Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci fired engine boss Luca Marmorini.
Formula 1 Ferrari team is going through tough times. This time the door was shown to a person who has been in charge of Ferrari's engine department since 2009. Lorenzo Sassi, who has also been part of the team for a long time, would step in to replace him. He will have to fix all engine problems. However, it will happen only in the next season, as right now it is forbidden to make any changes in engine construction according to the Championship regulations. So, no miracle should be expected this season.
Meanwhile, as it usually happens in this team in case of any resignations, Luca Marmorini claimed responsibility for all mistakes made when building a hybrid 1.6-litre turbocharged Ferrari engine and together with that for all team’s misfortunes in F1. More resignations are yet to follow as the new boss wants to hire more than ten new experts meaning there will be others leaving the team and claiming responsibility for all the losses.
