Here comes the facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS with a variety of engines. It will be unveiled in the end of June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The most important are the new diesel engines for the CLS — 4-cylinder powerplants delivering 170 hp and 400 Nm; 4-cylinder motors tuned to deliver 204 hp and 500 Nm; and a 6-cylinder engine in V-shaped configuration producing 258 hp and 620 Nm of torque. All cars will come with either rear-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive.

But that’s not all. Also available are petrol-powered 3.5-litre bi-turbo V6 engines (333 hp and 480 Nm) and V8 for the CLS 500 modification (408 hp and 600 Nm of torque).

AMG versions have not been left aside either. Both of them are fitted with a 5.5-litre V8 delivering 557 hp (720 Nm) and 585 hp (800 Nm).

The company has done a really good job updating the engine lineup. By the way, the CLS will be available with a nine-speed automatic transmission, which has been already used in the E-Class and S-Class coupé. However, there is no word yet what gearbox they will use in the CLS 400.

What concerns interior changes, the cars will now be fitted with a new freestanding 8-inch display with updated visual effects and animation. Central console has also been redesigned. Well, there might be many other changes, which have not been revealed yet.
