BMW prepares updated 7-series instead of the new 9-series

BMW decided to update the 7-series instead of producing the long-awaited new model. 7-sereis is now expected to have a luxury interior and a wide range of engines. In 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show the company will unveil the updated BMW 7-series. As reported by the CAR magazine, the most affordable version will be fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 275 hp. The top-of-the-line model will of course be featuring 12-cylinder engines; however, its price would correspond to its technical specs.

Regarding the luxury of the interior. According to company’s representatives, the interior of the 7-series model would be incomparable with that of the 5- and 6-series. A blend of leather, carbon fibre, and hi-tech on-board systems should change the inner world of the car entirely. It all became possible through the efforts of the new design chief Stefan Sielaff.

The company has not commented on their decision to lay aside the 9-series. Perhaps, the right time has not arrived and full potential of previous models has not been unlocked yet.
