Tuning of BMW vehicles is an honourable and gratifying experience. Another dream has come true — the M235i was customised at the German tuning studio Tuningwerk. The tuning included not just new floor mats and doorsills — it was much more profound. The power produced by the six-cylinder 3-litre twin-turbo engine has leaped from 326 to 450 hp, while the torque has increased from 450 to 600 Nm.
The engineers have really hit their stride as among the new details of the powerplant one can find pistons, crankshafts, radiator (2 cm thicker than the stock one), turbines, modified fuel system, and new oil system.
The car is now featuring new BBK brakes, modified suspension, limited-slip differential in the back, readjusted power steering. The vehicle has not suffered a significant weight loss — only around 30 kg. Probably, because they got rid of the rear seats. There are also many minor details added — new wheels, accents in the interior.
The price of the customised vehicle remains a secret; chances are, it is also being customised.
