Trident Performance Vehicles launched pre-orders for their sports car Iceni. The British car can travel up to 3,200 km without refilling. The manufacturer claims the premiere to be the fastest and most fuel efficient diesel-powered sports car.
Under Iceni’s bonnet you can find a 6.6-litre turbocharged V8 delivering 400 hp and 948 Nm of torque. The car is fitted with six-speed automatic transmission. It sprints to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. However, the combined fuel consumption rate is only 4.1L per 100 km.
The only thing left is to choose the car’s body style: roadster, fastback, or station wagon. In case the engine doesn't seem to be powerful enough, in can be uprated to deliver 670 hp and 1,422 Nm of torque for an extra charge.
Sure enough, the interior will feature leather, Alcantara, carbon fibre elements, and other amenities including the 7-inch interactive display. Almost forgot! The price of the fuel-efficient sports car starts at £96,000.
