1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition & 1975 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. The Lincoln Continental Mark V was manufactured in 1977-1979. It was a special model with a standard 2-door body style but wider and longer than its predecessors. Rounded body styling was replaced with ‘chopped’ design with sharp edges.
It was one of the most luxurious and expensive cars in the United States in the late 1970s. Ford produced a limited edition - the range-topping Diamond Jubilee Edition - to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Ford Motor Company. It featured a Jubilee Gold paintjob and luxurious interior trim. For instance, it came with an 8-track tape player as standard!
It was one of the last large-size cars of the Lincoln Mark series. Its successors tended to be more compact, while their mills were becoming more fuel-efficient.
