Researchers at the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University in Japan decided to take the breath away from everybody. They work on creating a “transparent” interior of a car. Moreover, there is a test prototype ready.

They developed a projector system, which uses a combination of cameras, projectors and special mirrors. It adjusts the image to user’s eye position and view direction.

The system is installed on a Toyota Prius. At the moment, the “see-through” view is available from the driver’s seat, however, it will soon be adapted for both the driver and front-seat passenger.

The team is already negotiating with various automakers but it’s too early to talk about the implementation time of the new system. Apparently, the drivers will have to take special courses of driving in a “transparent” car.
