Kia decided to start production of its GT concept in 2016. The car was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2011 and it has been unclear for a long time whether it was going to see production or not. Alas, the decision has been taken and the company has two years to get production of the Kia GT on track.
Technical specifications are scant at the moment. Most probably, under the bonnet, the GT will carry a 3.3-litre petrol-powered 6-cylinder engine delivering 395 hp and 534 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. A diesel engine option will be available for the European customers.
Kia plans to rival the Audi A7 or even the Mercedes CLS.
