Brabham, former F1 team, begins the way back to the Formula 1 with money. Brabham left the motor sports in 1992, but still hopes to come back. Over the years a sponsors-finding plan was thought through. In 2014, it started to become a reality. This became possible thanks to the Indiegogo fundraising resource. The purpose of Project Brabham — to join the WEC (World Endurance Championship) LMP2 class in 2015. To do this, they need to collect 250,000 pounds, then begins the development of a three-year racing program in WEC, as well as the creation of an Internet portal and Brabham Digital application.
Fundraising using crowd funding resource was launched on September 24th. During the first two days the guys collected more than 72,000 pounds. If they will get the amount of 500,000 pounds, this will form a team, and if the amount is 2.5 million, they will buy the first prototype and open their own sports-manufacturing base in the UK, where Marussia team is trying to survive.
The goal is to collect 8 million pounds, and the team will rise from the ashes as Phoenix, and will make a breakthrough. David Brabham believes that they will succeed.
