Acura began sales of its flagship sedan fitted with a new hybrid powertrain in Russia.
The new Acura RLX Sport Hybrid had to go on sale in spring 2014, however, due to technical and financial problems, its market launch was postponed for autumn.
The powertrain of the new model comprises a 3.5-litre V-shaped six-cylinder engine and three electric motors. The total output produced by the hybrid assembly stands at 377 hp and 461 Nm of torque. The car boasts of a SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system. As reported by the company’s officials, this hybrid car is the most technologically advanced vehicle in Acura history.
In Russia, the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid will be available in two versions, while its price will lie in the range of $59,950 — $65,950.
