Volvo has developed a sports R-Design package for its XC90 SUV.
“R-Design is created for people with a passion for things that add spice to life,” said Alain Visser, Volvo's head of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service. The R-Design package offers rather superficial upgrades.
They include a lip spoiler on the front bumper, new radiator grille, modified side mirror caps, and silver roof rails. The SUV will also get new 20-inch wheels.
On the inside, there is a revised multimedia system, sports seats in Nubuck textile and perforated leather, R-Design leather steering wheel and gear lever. Sure enough, the SUV’s interior features badges on doorsills and pedals, new floor mats and — pay attention to that — an ignition key with R-Design detailing.
The company is sure that this package will suit the 400-hp plug-in hybrid XC90 perfectly well. The price of the sports package has not been revealed yet.
