Alfa Romeo started road testing of their new Giulia sedan wearing a Maserati Ghibli body.
Alfa Romeo Giulia models will be powered by both petrol and diesel. Its top version is expected to carry a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 from the Maserati Ghibli, which will develop around 480–520 hp.
The car is built on the new Giorgio platform, which will also be shared by Dodge and Chrysler. It will inherit many design solutions invented for the Gloria concept car, revealed by 20 students at European Design Institute (IED) of Turin.
What concerns the test mule, it was spied by Worldcarfans journalists, who were able to make several shots while the car was getting a diesel refill. The dual exhaust setup and a steering wheel sourced from Jeep can be clearly seen in the pictures.
The new model is due to arrive in 2015.
