Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum revealed his own version of the classic Mark 2.
Callum has teamed up with Classic Motor Cars Limited (CMC), leading restorers specialising in cars produced by the British car manufacturer Jaguar. By the way, the retro car was unveiled at the opening of CMC's new headquarters in Shropshire.
Under the bonnet, sits a 4.3-litre V8 coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car’s suspension boasts of revised springs and adjustable dampers. Front brakes have also been upgraded.
It was decided to reduce the ride height by 30 mm, fit the car with new bumpers, new radiator grille and a twin-pipe exhaust. The retro car sits on 17-inch multi-spoke wheels.
The car’s interior has also been modified. Now it features wood texture elements, red leather, and a dashboard with analogue clock. To make it meet the modern times, the Mark 2 is fitted with an entertainment system with a big flip-out touchscreen from Clarion.
