Together with the preparations of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for the Indianapolis 500, the company considers launching production of a mid-engine supercar and may as well change its name.
There is no time to get bored when there are so many things to do. The successor of the top-of-the-range ZR1 model will get a mid-engine layout and its own name. But that's not all; there are still more surprises to come. This summer Chevy trademarked Zora name, which might be received by the new model. This name was chosen for a reason, it might be a nod to Zora Arkus-Duntov, who was nicknamed «Father of the Corvette”.
The new ZR1 is expected to get an 800-hp engine. It will make its debut at the 2015 Indianapolis 500.
