The Chinese company of Geely, owner of the Volvo Swedish brand, has become the investor of the British supersonic car project, which is being built with an eye on the record for land speed.
The Bloodhound SSC reported that a partnership with of Geely, which includes not only financial but also technical support for three years. In these terms the British company hopes to complete the development of the car, and the first record attempt is scheduled for autumn 2017.
The plans — to disperse the «land-based missiles,» 2018 to 1000 miles per hour (1609.34 km / h). Geely investment amount was not disclosed.
Geely Auto — the seventh largest Chinese group in general and first in importance among private. He has four international research center, which employs 10 thousand engineers.
