The British sports car manufacturer has finally taken the wraps off the new Vanquish and Rapide S.
These cars will be fitted with an eight-speed automatic Touchtronic III transmission. The new gearbox is claimed to make the sports cars more dynamic. Both of them will be able to make a faster sprint to 100 km/h — Vanquish will do it in 3.8 sec and Rapide S will accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.4 sec.
What concerns the increase in horsepower, it is rather inconspicuous. Vanquish has a 2-hp increase, while the Rapide S can boast of a 3-hp boost. In this case, they will deliver 576 and 560 hp respectively. Both of them benefit from an extra 10 Nm of torque.
Apart from that, the cars are fitted with upgraded suspension featuring stiffer dampers, more powerful brakes and a completely recalibrated Dynamic Stability Control technology.
The cars will be available for pre-order this autumn.
