Audi decided to reveal their new SUV at the show in Moscow. A concept built on the base of the Audi TT sports car will be unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show. This decision is related to the fact that Audi’s experts are sure that the Russian customers will produce a higher demand for the SUV, as our roads are worldwide famous.

“Audi Q3 and Q5 are in the top three of our best-sellers. The Audi TT offroad concept demonstrates the guise of the new SUV produced by the “four-circle” brand. Every second Audi sold worldwide in 2013 was fitted with an all-wheel drive Quattro system. This number reached 70 percent in Russia. That is why we are absolutely sure that the Russian customers will love the future SUV”, said Elena Smirnova, chief executive officer of Audi Russia.

The Audi TT offroad is just a concept so far; however, its production will be launched in the nearest future. It is fitted with a plug-in hybrid powertrain e-tron Quattro, which comprises a 2.0-litre petrol-powered TFSI engine, a 40kW electric motor and another 85kW electric motor located on the rear axle.

The premiere features the total output of 408 hp and the torque of 650 Nm. It will take the SUV 5.2 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h but, on the other hand, the car is very fuel-efficient. Audi claims the car uses just 1.9L/100km of fuel in the combined city/highway rating. The concept can drive over 50 kilometres solely on electric power at the speed of 130 km/h.
