Porsche makes adjustments in its master plan for the production of the first electric model of the company — a sports car Mission E.
Initially it was assumed that the factory complex in Stuttgart's Zuffenhausen district will employ 1,000 people. Now jobs will require more than 1400. Among them — the digitization experts, «green» and «intelligent» cars and network technologies. Only the «IT people» will be more than a hundred. The structure, which specializes in innovation — Porsche Digital GmbH, — hire another fifty. Added to this is two hundred trainees.
In an official press release notes that since 2010 the number of employees has doubled — up to 26 200 people.
Creating more jobs is accompanied by the opening of new shops (assembly and painting), engine plant expansion and modernization of the engineering center.
As a result, the production of electric cars will cost Porsche to 1 billion euros.
The production model (is called J1) is expected by 2020. From Mission E Concept it will be different except that throws open the doors counter-movement. All-wheel drive 600-horsepower car will be able to overcome the first hundred in 3.5 seconds. Free course it will be enough for more than 500 km and Porsche Turbo Charging Charging will restore the 80-percent reserve of energy for what some 15 minutes.
