Chances are good that the new product with the working title Range Rover Sport Coupe can become a full electric cars. If this happens, the history of the brand will open a completely new page.
In the meantime, it is known that on the dimensions of cross-coupe will be more compact (it is a 4-seater, type 2 + 2 + 1 will be offered optional) and lighter than its main competitors BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe roughly 500 kg (thanks aluminum platform from Jaguar F-Pace).
Judging by the spy pictures, Range Rover Sport Coupe is far from compartment silhouette. The publication Autocar quoted stylist Range Rover Phil Simmons, who is convinced that the new product «will set new standards for the brand Range Rover style, as well as for interior and handling».
As for the engines, in addition to the conventional 6- and 8-cylinder Range Rover Sport Coupe can get and electrical installation. Fortunately, there is someone to borrow (electric Jaguar i-Pace should debut already in 2017).
