In the middle of August, Cadillac will launch production of the long-wheelbase ATS sedan developed especially for the Chinese market.
People in China love stretched vehicles. Cadillac ATS is now 85 mm longer, which makes it more comfortable for the rear passengers. What concerns the engines, they have not received any criticism. The customers will be able to opt for a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 280 hp or a 320-hp 3.6-litre naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine mated to six-speed automatic transmission.
Cadillac was not the first to figure out the taste of Chinese customers. Volvo, BMW and Audi are already supplying long-wheelbase vehicles to the Celestial Empire.
By the way, the stretched Cadillac ATS-L will be cheaper than the standard version; its price will start at 270,000 yuan.
