In 2016, Bugatti plan to launch production of the new sports car, which is due to become the Veyron successor.
Starting from 2015, Bugatti plan to take the current-generation Veyron out of production. It was the fastest car in the entire history of the company; however, its time has run out. A new sports car is getting ready to replace it — it will be fitted with a hybrid powerplant comprising an 8.0-litre W16 engine and an electric motor with the total capacity of 1,500 horsepower.
Bugatti have not disclosed all technical specs of the hypercar yet, however, it is already known that it will be lighter than the Veyron and its top speed will be over 435 km/h.
