The facelifted Porsche Cayenne is now available with a plug-in hybrid version delivering 416 hp.
Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show this October. It is fitted with a 3.0-litre supercharged 333-hp engine and an electric motor delivering 95 hp with a 10.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
The hybrid SUV sprints to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, while its top speed is 243 km/h. However, the new Cayenne can travel on all-electric energy not that far away. It can typically cover 18–36 km at the top speed of 124 km/h under electric power alone. Well, at least it will be enough to find a fuel station in case you’ve missed one on the highway.
By the way, the cabin got a new multifunction sports steering wheel with shift paddles, like the 918 Spyder hybrid supercar. Ventilated rear seats come as an option to provide the passengers with even more comfort.
