The new Ford Mustang will go on sale in the United States this autumn and only next year it will arrive in Europe. Finally, we have a few details about its trim level.

Performance Pack upgrade kit will be available only for the models fitted with a 2.3-litre 310-hp EcoBoost engine and a 5.0-litre V8 delivering 435 hp. It comes with revised springs, bushings and monotube rear dampers. It features a more efficient cooling system, a thicker rear sway bar, and a K-brace, which joins in to connect the strut towers to the bulkhead. The ABS, stability control, and electric power-assisted steering systems have been reprogrammed. All these innovations will definitely improve the car’s handling.

The model fitted with an EcoBoost engine was equipped with four-piston brakes with 352-millimeter rotors at the front and single-piston 352-millimeter rotors at the rear. The car now features 19-inch Ebony Black painted alloy wheels with Pirelli 255/40 Y-speed-rated tyres.

What concerns the sports package for the car fitted with a V8 engine, it will get six-piston Brembo brakes with 380-millimeter rotors, rear-axle Torsen differential and a rear strut tower brace. It will also feature a front splitter to channel cooling air to the front brakes. Rear tyres are wider — 275/40.
