Ferrari surrendered to using a turbocharger; however, larger engines with more displacement will still be naturally-aspirated.
In 2016, the FF supercar will be fitted with a 3.8-litre V8 delivering 560 hp due to the use of a turbocharger. Nevertheless, the V12 engine will still be developed in the best Ferrari’s “naturally-aspirated” traditions, while its output would reach 700 hp. Ferrari plan to preserve and support their V12 engines despite any fashion trends.
After upgrading the FF, the engineers will pass on to the F12berlinetta, which will still carry the V12. “Alternative technology” would allow increasing the power. As reported by the Car, the company refers to the use of electricity.
Sure enough, the recipe of how to prepare an engine with the help of electricity is kept in secret and all details are scant at the moment.
