BMW’s airbags have let the company down. It is recalling 1.6 million vehicles. Everyone got used to GM having constant issues with cars. But this time it were BMW who broke into a chain of recalls made by General Motors.
The cars involved are 3 Series models from model years 2000 to 2006. The problem concerns the passenger-side front airbags. By the way, the recall includes 574,000 vehicles in the U.S.
The Japanese company Takata, which supplies the airbags, has another chance to blush and apologize as around 10 million cars have been recalled since 2009 due to faulty airbags.
