One of the most “long-playing” tuning studios Stile Bertone declared bankruptcy. The design house with a 100-year history has accumulated some €30 million in debt.
It’s not that easy to find an acquirer or investor for this company. Apart from owning land property and buildings, Stile Bertone is in possession of a unique car collection considered Italy’s national heritage. It’s impossible to sell the cars as single units; they must be sold together only.
Many companies are going through financial difficulties and this studio is not the only one. Even though the company is generating revenue of €14–15 million per year. Well, they deal with supercars and not with budget-oriented tyre replacement. Nevertheless, the debt is huge and all company’s assets have been put up for sale.
