Next-generation BMW X3 built on the base of the new module platform, which offers a more ergonomic interior design, will be revealed in 2017.
The second-generation X3 has gone through facelifting quite recently, but it is not the reason to rest easy. Right now, the company is getting ready for the next generation. The model will get an M-version, which will be able to deliver 422 hp.
What concerns X3’s engine lineup, it will comprise 4- and 6-cylinder powertrains with a 15-hp power lift. BMW X3 will be fitted with either a combustion engine, or a hybrid powerplant. The latter will comprise a 2.0-litre petrol-powered engine producing 245 hp and a 95-hp electric motor. The car will be able to travel only 50 km on a single charge. However, its fuel consumption rate in hybrid mode will make only 3.8L per 100 km.
So, in case there are no fuel stations nearby, the fuel-efficient X3 hybrid will be able to provide you with a 50-km margin, which is not that bad in case you are not in a desert.
