In autumn at Paris Motor Show a new Volvo XC90 will be introduced to public. This will be the most powerful and “green” SUV in Volvo product line and now we could get details about upcoming premiere.
Hybrid T8 will be equipped with 4-cylindered 2-liters Drive-E engine with turbo and compressor, which give traction to front wheels and 80-hp electric motor, spinning rear wheels. Expected performance figures are: 400 hp and 640 Nm.
Both motor will work simultaneously. Unfortunately electric range for the Volvo is quite short — only 40 kilometers but it is very friendly to the environment — only 60 grams of CO2 after 1 kilometer. Batteries can be charged using mains.
Volvo is going to offer diesel engines with 190 hp and 225 hp of output. Fuel consumption it 5 and 6 liters for 100km. Petrol engines are available in 254 hp and 320 hp configurations.
The SUV will also get a new interior, finished with leather, wood and… crystal. And a very special sound system, we hope the music won’t break the crystal.
