For two months SRT division had stopped the Viper production line because of very low demand. Now all produced and unsold supercars got their owners and SRT resumed the production.
The problem appeared quite long time ago. Even in autumn statistics showed bad trends — during last 20 years 29 thousand supercars were purchased. So the company had to do smth with sales.
On the one hand they are exclusives and from the other hand they are not being purchased. Company said that Viper is not a mass-market model — but anyway the production line had to be stopped and now the assembly is resumed.
This year Vipers are selling under SRT brand but the next year Dodge badge will return. Its difficult to forecast how this will influence on sells but even small things can break big problem.
