The first among truck sped away team trio Petronas Team De Rooy Iveco — Gerard De Rooy, Federico Villagra and Tony Van Gennuhten behind them — two KAMAZ Eduard Nikolaev and Andrey Karginova.
Up to 180 kilometers of Eduard Nikolaev in the lead with a margin of 16 minutes (good start to encroach on the 27-minute gap between de Roy in the general classification). The machine does not leave. We tried to pull VRÁTNA Tatra, for which many thanks to him. Not enough power of his truck, he almost sat down. But in the end we waited Dmitry Sotnikov, he yanked us. Then we went, trying to catch up. Basically I got a little play. Periodically, the engine can overheat. There were a couple of long climbs, which went on the edge, so as not to burn the engine... »
This time, Dmitry Sotnikov operated in the combat technicals and had a loss on the route only because of problems with navigation, and because of that we had to help others KAMAZ crew.
De Rooy said tenth stage as follows: «With a margin of more than an hour is quite comfortable, the last three steps I'm not going to assume any risks... KAMAZ took a chance and lost.»
In the car competition it is also not without surprises. The best result from Stéphane Peterhansel, who passed special stage in 3 hours 58 minutes and 32 seconds. The second came Cyril Despres. The third was a Russian crew of Vladimir Vasiliev and Konstantin Zhiltsov (line 8 overall), 12 minutes behind the leader and 56 seconds. They had almost caught up with Sebastien Loeb, but in the middle of SU stuck in the sand and lost a lot of time digging out the car.
Thus, in the general classification again reshuffle: the first line of the class again came Peterhansel, after which go Nasser Al-Attiyah in the MINI (because of the accident of 14 positions on the 10 stages) and Giniel de Villiers at Toyota (6 products).
Among motorcyclists the best score of the day at the Slovak Stefan scrolls. Second came Argentine Kevin Benavides, the third — the overall leaderToby Price.
Among the first position kvadrotsiklisty Brian Baragvanat and from South Africa. The second was Marcos Patronelli, the third — his brotherAlejandro. Our Sergey Karjakin came fourth (the same position it occupies in the general classification).
The race was stopped on the fifth checkpoint of the seven planned due to weather conditions. The finish was closer to 34 kilometers.
Stage 11 will take place from La Rioja to San Juan. The length of the SU — 431 km.
