Porsche have demonstrated a great example with their return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Sport does mean a lot! Now it’s time for McLaren to consider their return to endurance races.
Such conclusions were drawn not only due to the launch of McLaren 650S ST3 sports car. McLaren GT boss Andrew Kirkaldy came out into the open to Autosport: “I would be very surprised if you don't see a 650S running at Le Mans at some point and we hope to be there from 2016”.
Well, of course, McLaren will have to do some serious work to make their sports car comply with regulations; however, the game is worth the candle. Right now, everything depends on the innovations prepared for the next season’s regulations.
