BMW decided to drop out the idea of producing a boosted M4 Gran Coupé version. “That is a negative”, BMW M GmbH's Jörg Bartels told Carsguide magazine. "It was definitely considered, but there is no plan to build an M4 Gran Coupé.”

The most powerful in 4-series lineup is the 435i so far. Under its bonnet, it carries a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine delivering 306 hp. It sprints to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

The boosted version was supposed to get the same engine as the one used in BMW M3 and M4. The latter are equipped with a six-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 431 hp. It would have sprinted to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. However, it’s not on the cards right now.
