Renault Sport Trophy will make its world debut at the Moscow Motor Show on August 27.
A car is built around a carbon monocoque produced by the Italian company Dallara and fitted with a 500-hp Nismo engine. As reported by motor.ru, it will be a 3.7-litre six-cylinder motor mounted right behind the driver. The car features a Sadev-sourced sequential transmission and specially created Michelin racing tyres. It weighs just around 1,100 kg.
As a reminder, a street-legal 275 Trophy based on Mégane RS was revealed in May. Under the bonnet, it carries a 2.0-litre petrol-powered turbocharged engine delivering 275 hp. It features titanium Akrapovic exhaust, sports suspension with adjustable dampers, and 19-inch wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Renault Sport Trophy will join the World Series by Renault replacing the Mégane Trophy in 2015.
