“What’s your Nürburgring lap time?” is one of eternal questions. Well, the new BMW M4 coupé is 13 seconds faster than its predecessor!
Under the bonnet of the BMW M4 you can find a six-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 431 hp. It is fitted with either six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Unfortunately, there is no information about the exact trim level of the car which has lapped the Nordschleife. The coupé sprints to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than its “older brother”.
The tests on the legendary track were run by the experts from the Sport Auto magazine. So, the M4 managed to put in a 7 minute, 52 second lap time. As stated above, 3 Series was 13 seconds slower. Well, at least it is stated on the official BMW Facebook page. Those who can’t believe these figures can go straight on the track and check it themselves in case they have enough skills and courage. Anyone can say he’s the real Stig behind the helmet.
