From now on only hybrid cars from McLaren

Apart from increasing its model range, McLaren Automotive's Chief Operating Officer said that the company plans to produce only hybrid cars from now on.

In his interview to Edmunds, Mike Flewitt said that in the nearest 10 years annual production would reach 4,000 to 6,000 units with all of them fitted with hybrid powerplants. But that’s not all. An electric car might join the company’s lineup, as McLaren also supplies electric motors to Formula-E. In spite of all these statements, the manufacturer is still focused on sports cars. Even though it’s trendy to produce crossovers, the company does not make any strong statements that it is never going to launch one; however, there are definitely no crossovers in McLaren’s nearest plans.

They have already launched the new sports car — 650S, P13 will arrive next year, and P15 will be ready to come up by 2017.

So there is no time to get bored as the new sports cars jump out like hot cakes right from the oven.
