General Motors is making recalls again and again. To add something new the company launched new safety system which will not allow the car to start until all passengers fasten the seatbelts. The gearbox will be fixed in the “Parking” mode. This system will be offered as a free option for all GM autos.
Of course this is an advertising campaign “Click or ticket” held together with NHTSA. According to the data from motor.ru in the year 2013 87% of drivers were using seatbelts. The penalty for unfastened belt is from 10$ to 200$ depending on the state.
GM already recalled 13.6 million cars since the beginning of the year because of different malfunctions.
