Dodge finally introduced renewed muscle-car Challenger SRT. The car is equipped with the company’s most powerful engine ever- supercharged 6.2L V8 Hellcat with more than 600hp of output. There are not many details known but we revealed that there will be a choice between 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Just to compare previous Dodge Challenger SRT had 6.4L V8 with 485hp and it reached 100kmh in 4 seconds.
For the newcomer there are still no technical specifications, let’s have a look to another properties. According to auto.vesti.ru the new Challenger will have 20-inch light alloy wheels, 390mm disc brakes with 6-pot Brembo calipers, modified ABS and stability control. And this is not the end, the chassis will have 4 settings: Default, Sport, Track and Custom — where the driver will be able to choose most convenient modes of steering system, transmission and gas pedal response.
Of course there are such comfortable things as multimedia system Uconnect with TFT-screen, rear-view camera, parking and side control sensors and collision avoiding system. Also there is a valet mode for this car which locks out 1st gear, disables launch control, enables stability control and sets the limit at 4000 rpm. To enable this mode the driver will need a special key or a PIN-code.
The price of renewed Dodge Challenger SRT is still unknown.
