Jaguar is going to produce six E-Types, which will complete the series of 18 lightweight track-only cars. Debts have to be paid, especially when it comes to legendary cars. Back in the 60s-70s Jaguar decided to create a series of sports cars designed for track use only. However, under some circumstances, some of the vehicles were left as drawings. 40 years later the company turned its attention to these documents and decided to finish what had been started.
Best company’s engineers were directed at the assembly of these E-Types: aluminium body, 3.8-litre six-cylinder in-line engine, they will even feature the same chassis numbers as those reserved back in 1963. The track-exclusive E-Type will deliver 304 hp.
As soon as they are ready with the assembly, the new old rarities will be put on sale or maybe even set for an auction among famous collectors of retro cars.
